Eating at Szechuan Noodle Bowl is like eating at your auntie’s house who happens to be the Celestial Noodle Soup Maker. Even though she conjures up divine culinary inventions on a daily basis, she doesn’t have a lot of money, so you sit on plastic and metal chairs with photo collage décor on the walls that look like your 7-year-old cousin made them.
But it really doesn’t matter what the place looks like. All you know is that it’s homey, cozy and safe with the smell of hot soup wafting through the air.
When you’re served your steaming hot bowl of Original Beef Noodle Soup, gaze down at it for a moment. Take in the thick, hand-pulled noodles roping around braised chunks of soy-marinated beef and fresh, green bok choy.
Close your eyes and take a sip. It’s like ambrosia from the Szechuan Gods. Your shoulders drop. You breathe deeply. You even hear birds singing. Sip, chew and be at one with the Universe.
Before you step off your cloud, try the boiled dumplings or potstickers. They’re made fresh daily of hand-rolled dough. Thank heaven for small miracles.

Dumplings with hot and spicy sauce.
