Pedro’s Tacos Next time you visit the Mission San Juan Capistrano (“When the swallows come back to Capistrano…”), stop by this walk-up restaurant directly across the street for authentic and tasty Mexican food. Bring some bucks—Pedro’s is cash-only. Tacos are barely over a dollar. Meat comes topped with pico de gallo and wrapped in two small corn tortillas. Try the carne asada (beef), carnitas (pork) or the al pastor (bbq pork). Chips come charmingly in a paper sack. A generous side of beans is barely two dollars. Side of Mexican rice is the same. Order at the counter. Dine al fresco. Then tuck in to your tasty, cheap Mexi fare. If you kick back and listen, you can hear the swallows singing.
