Imperial Court Dim-sum hounds will find much to like at Imperial Court in Richmond, BC, a wonderful Asian Food Mecca, less than 3 hours from Seattle. You order your dim sum using pencil on paper and your dishes are cooked to order. Recommendations include the Siew Mai (steamed pork and shrimp dumplings), steamed rice roll with beef, enoki mushroom, shrimp or mixed mushrooms, sticky rice wrapped with lotus leaf, pan fried turnip cake, deep fried meat dumpling, pan fried rice roll in XO sauce and deep fried squid. Frugalistas rejoice! Order before 11am and you get 25% off your dim sum order. Want to sleep in? No problem. Order between 11am and 3pm and get 20% off. Noodle Taco-ers are not about the ambiance. They’re about the food. Still, if you prefer to nosh in a quiet, calm atmosphere, then you probably want to avoid this place (and most other dim sum places in Richmond, BC) on weekend mornings when the dining room will invariably be full of chatty folks enthusiastically enjoying their tasty delights.
